Radwinter Recreation Ground Charity - Summer Celebration. Sunday 28th June To kick off the 10th birthday year of our lovely pavilion, we will be holding a ‘Village Celebration’ on Sunday 28th June on the recreation ground. While we haven’t finalised the details yet, there will be a food, music, drink and games for all the family. This year marks 10 years since the first sod was turned on the new pavilion which was the culmination of many years in the planning. While the pavilion won’t celebrate it’s 10th birthday until next year, we thought we would mark the start of the birthday celebrations this year, and throughout the next year, share with you the successes and challenges since we opened. Ask you what you would like to see happen in the next ten years, and then have a big birthday party in 2027 to celebrate and showcase some of the things that go on in the pavilion. We will also be looking back over the years since the Recreation Ground Charity started in 1958. Here’s where you can help ……….. We hope to collate a display of photographs along a timeline. So if you have any photographs old or new, of the Recreation Ground, New Pavilion, Old Pavilion and equipment thereon, especially any that feature people using the grounds, equipment and facilities, please send them to us - we would love to see them. (NB please make sure if your photos feature anyone, to check they are okay with us using them for promotion and display).
